KOMRAD and MEDICARE: Dr. Komrad has "opted-out" of the Medicare program as of 9/1/07. This means that patients who have Medicare will NOT be able to have Medicare reimburse them for Dr. Komrad's services. It also means that Dr. Komrad will not be billing Medicare,or sending them any information about services or treatment. Medicare patients are required to sign a letter of understanding regarding this when starting treatment or, if they are already established patients, at the time they become Medicare eligible.
